Post Malone and Jelly Roll at Gillette: Big Ass Stadium Tour Night

Big Ass Stadium Tour Night

Last night, we headed down to Gillette Stadium for Post Malone’s Big Ass Stadium Tour and man, what a night. Jelly Roll opened, and the vibe was on point from start to finish. Cool weather, some light rain, but nothing that could dampen the energy.

We left home around 6:30 PM and made the 30-minute drive to Foxborough. We parked in our usual private lot across from Bass Pro Shop, a little trick I’ve kept from my Patriots season ticket days. It’s about a 15-minute walk to the stadium, but the easy exit afterward makes it totally worth it.

The stadium was buzzing, but getting in was a breeze. We had floor seats by the Hall of Fame entrance. After a quick stop for drinks (not bad wait time), we settled in to watch Jelly Roll. His performance was full of energy and heartfelt gratitude. Rocking a Patriots hat and sharing stories, he won over the crowd easily, mixing gritty Southern rap with emotional ballads that had people swaying one minute and jumping the next. He talked openly about his past and how grateful he was to be on that stage which made the whole experience feel genuine and personal. By the time he wrapped up with Save Me, the entire stadium was lit up with phone lights and voices singing along.

After his set, there was a short break. My wife headed to the concourse to beat the bathroom rush, while I stuck around for some quality people watching. Despite the chilly 55-degree night and light rain, plenty of folks were out in tank tops and shorts, soaking up every minute of summer concert season.

When Post Malone hit the stage, the energy shifted into overdrive. He kicked things off with some of his newer tracks polished, tight, and full of life, then seamlessly mixed in older hits like White Iverson and Rockstar, some of them with a gritty, live rock twist that gave them new life. His band was locked in, and the light show synced perfectly with every beat drop and guitar solo.

You could tell he loved being there smiling between verses, cracking jokes with the crowd, and taking a swig or two between songs like he was just hanging out with 50,000 friends. He shouted out Boston, talked about how grateful he was for the support, and even laughed at himself a bit when he forgot a lyric. It all felt genuine, like he was fully in the moment.

He had everyone on their feet the entire time. Our section didn’t sit once, not for a slow song, not for a break, just pure energy start to finish. People were singing along, dancing, high-fiving strangers. It was one of those rare nights where the whole crowd was completely locked in, and Post delivered big time.

We’ve got a few more shows lined up this summer, but this one set the bar high. If you get the chance to catch either Jelly Roll or Post live, don’t miss it. Both brought something real to the stage, music, connection, and good vibes.
